Election Day Prayer

Join the Reba Church community effort to cover the upcoming elections with prayer for peace, justice, and goodness! Since it may take a few days for the outcome to be known, and for all parties to peacefully accept whatever the outcome is, we'd like to cover three days with prayer... Election Day (Tues, Nov 5) through Thurs, Nov 7.

Consider signing up here for a 2 or 3-hour slot during which you commit to stopping at least once per hour for 5 minutes and praying. You could also meet up with a friend or two during that time and praying more substantially together. Transform your worries into prayer. A paper sign-up poster will also be available on Sunday morning at the Meetinghouse. Here's some suggestions for specific prayers on Election Day:

  • For peaceful, unharassed voting across the nation.

  • For protection for all honest poll workers.

  • For people to be motivated and able to go out to vote.

  • More prayer prompts can be found here, both for Election Day and in the days following the election. These will also be available in print at the Meetinghouse.

Please note: the Meetinghouse will NOT be a polling place this year. If you have voted at the RPC Meetinghouse for previous elections, you are now assigned to vote elsewhere in the neighborhood. You can look up your polling place at this website or by consulting your Voter Registration card.
