Join the Reba Team for the 3rd Annual Interfaith Action of Evanston Walk for Warmth scheduled for next Monday, January 17th. Here's the link to register for free! You must register if you want to walk with us.
We will gather at 11 AM sharp on the SW corner of Hinman Avenue and Church Street in front of the First United Methodist Church. Free holiday parking will be available at the nearby public garage which can be entered from Church Street just east of Chicago Avenue. Please be prompt and wear a face mask!
Be aware that the entire Walk for Warmth will be outdoors. We will gather outdoors and the approximately 2 mile walk will be entirely outdoors. We will walk at a brisk pace past faith community facilities that host the emergency overnight shelter, but we won't go inside. Bundle up! You should feel free to leave the walk at any point if you are too cold or can't keep up with the group. There will be no access to restrooms en route. Please plan accordingly. And please leave your dog at home.
When you arrive, look for Reba's sign and join the group. Event cancellation notification: In the unlikely event that the Walk is cancelled, all registered walkers will be notified via email by 7 AM on the day of the Walk.
If you wish to donate and have not yet done so, please make your donation now. Your donation will help Interfaith Action continue to provide our struggling neighbors safe and warm places to sleep and nutritious food to eat. Thank you.
Hope you'll come out and walk with me!
